gingerbread boathouse, with gingerbread men

Ok. I believe we are finally done.
Andrew helped me with the gingerbread guys, because quite frankly, I have been so tired, and being so tired made me cranky, and being cranky made me to be a pain in the you-know-where. And no one wants to be around anyone who is a pain in the you-know-where. All because of this gingerbread stuff, so unnecessary, right?
Therefore, it's done.
This time I took photos with the Christmas tree in the back, makes it all the more Christmas-ey.
We have a guy fishing.
And a few other guys on the water. That's a hot tub boat by the way.
The water in the boat is made with melted sugar and corn syrup.
I really wanted to make a patio umbrella for the top deck. But not today.

The adirondack chair, is definitely, the most favourite thing I have ever made out of gum paste. That was the last thing we put on. (If you live in Ontario, the rest of the world calls Muskoka chairs Adirondack chairs. Rightfully so because it was first designed in the Adirondack Mountains in New York state near the early 1900s... ... Sorry about that, the chair geek in me came out.)

  1. Hello! I found your blog while searching google, trying to find silverware painted with nail polish -not enamel paint.
It has been really slow where I work this week, and I confess I have spent a large portion of my work-day reading your blog! You seem like such a great mom, and I love how creative you are! The Adirondack chair has impressed me enormously! (I'm a chair geek too...Interior design grad...) The way you mention your faith is very genuine too. So thanks for having a public blog, I've been inspired and encouraged by reading. :) Merry Christmas! -Linley
